About Jan Jagruti Prathishtan (JJP)
Every person deserves to lead a more secure, prosperous, and dignified life. With that vision in mind, Jan Jagruti Pratishthan’s mission is to strengthen community-led development initiatives to achieve positive social, economic, and environmental change across rural India.
Jan Jagruti Prathishtan (JJP) is working in the field of rural development since 2005 with aims at the use of modern agricultural techniques, proper education, rural and social entrepreneurship as a means of achieving sustainable social, economic development of rural India.
JJP’s approach is capacity building of community through Group farming. Group Farming technology was developed in Jalna districts for the first time in India in 1986. Poor and marginal farmers are being benefited in the Marathwada region by this approach, now it is spread all over India. Initially, JJP has arranged a series of meetings to motivate the farmers for group farming. Simultaneously, JJP has conducted a series of pieces of training programmers on sustainable agriculture, Horticulture, modern techniques, and market linkages.
